Barre Essentials I & II Instructor Workshops

Who: Yoga, Pilates, Barre and Fitness instructors, those interested in becoming instructors, or folks who just love to explore new movement!



Barre Essentials I: Ballet Barre

Ballet Barre is a full-body workout that utilizes a stationary handrail for support. In addition to improving strength and flexibility gains, Ballet Barre is excellent for developing better posture, coordination, stability and balance.


Barre Essentials II: Floor Barre

Floor Barre is a technique that takes classic ballet barre exercises to the floor. This takes away the effort of standing, and the support of the floor enables participants to better isolate muscle groups, improving form and reducing risk of injury.


What you will learn can be immediately incorporated into your existing yoga, Pilates, or fitness classes...or developed into a stand-alone class! No prerequisite is required to take this training course, however, experience in dance, yoga, or mat Pilates is beneficial. This is not a certification program, but attendees will receive a manual and certificate of completion.

When: Saturday, March 11 (Ballet Barre) & Saturday, March 18 (Floor Barre) -12:00 - 4:00 pm

How much: $65 for one workshop or $100 for both

About me

  • 20+ years of dance training, including ballet at the Rock School and Metropolitan Ballet Academy

  • 6 years of experience as a dance and gymnastics teacher

  • 20+ years of experience as a certified fitness instructor - including 12 years teaching Barre
